Transportation Manager

We distribute our fresh arrivals 6 days a week to restaurants, hotels, country clubs, schools and institutions throughout Ohio, Central Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. Essential Functions:
- Responsible for general building and grounds care and maintenance to ensure proper working order, sanitation, and appearance.
- Complete preventative maintenance to satisfy Sirna & Sons Produce audit requirements and accurately maintain the specified forms.
- Identify and report any facility equipment or fixture in need of repair.
- Repair and troubleshoot defective equipment and facilities systems.
- Provide support and direction to custodial staff.
- Maintain the maintenance functions for the facility in an efficient working manner.
- Submit order requests of parts, equipment, tools, and materials as needed for repairs and maintain satisfactory inventory of such hardware.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular inspection and preventive maintenance/lubrication of applicable equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, welding/cutting equipment, electric/electronic meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs
- Ensure proper functionality of Water Filtration Equipment
- Comply with all applicable OSHA and Food Safety regulations
Competencies, Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Speak and write English satisfactorily
- At least 1 years of recent and successful experience performing the above functions in a significant manufacturing or warehouse / distribution environment. Prefer that such experience is in the food industry.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Active listening skills
Physical Demands:
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders
- Work in cold and wet cooler environment for extended periods of time
Schedule:
- Monday – Saturday (4:00am – 2:00pm)
