Essential Functions:

  • Daily dispatch of drivers and assigning all equipment needed for the day
  • Leading the daily dispatch of drivers and assigning all equipment needed for the day
  • Review of routes for effectiveness and efficiency, ensure on time deliveries to customers
  • Review and monitor Samsara for fleet maintenance and temperature issues
  • Driver compliance management
  • Communicate service issues to sales, customer service, and operations teams
  • Works closely with Dispatch personnel on all opportunities related to the business needs
  • Coordinates with operations Directors to ensure drivers are being provided with the correct tools, training, and support
  • Participate in Safety investigations; review and reporting with root-cause analysis
  • Assist with HOS compliance in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Work closely with vendors to schedule PM’s, Repairs, Rental Equipment for the Fleet as needed
  • Assist with changes to routes due to call offs and late arrivals, partner with dispatch to ensure timely problem resolution
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

 Competencies, Education, and Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in transportation with at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Distribution industry a plus
  • Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems- Produce Pro, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English satisfactorily, bilingual a plus
  • CDL Class A or B license is a plus
  • Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements

 Physical Demands:

  • Travel as required
  • Stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time

 Compensation:

  • $70,000 - $80,000/Year

 Work Schedule:

  • Sunday - Friday (Saturday off and one night during the week TBD)
  • Must be available to work holidays as required
  • Start time: 8:00pm – 5:00am
