City Produce started in 1958 as a retail produce store in Fort Walton Beach, FL, specializing in premium fresh fruit, vegetables, specialty foods, and dairy. City Produce is supported by an amazing team of sales, customer service, procurement, and operations professionals.

Essential Functions:

• Locate and select the specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer’s order
• Load and unload items using machines, carts and dollies
• Build pallets with orders and position them to loading docks
• Perform visual inspections of orders to ensure accuracy according to quantity, size, etc.
• Wrap orders before loading on trucks
• Maintain equipment and report on equipment malfunctions
• Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, OSHA and Food Safety regulations
• Comply with lockout/tagout guidelines
• Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping of the specific production line and surrounding general area throughout the shift
• Enforce safety guidelines and ensure team members follow all operational procedures
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices in shipping operations
• Assist in handling escalations and resolving shipping issues or delays
• Collaborate with other departments such as Receiving, Inventory, and Customer Service

Education & Experience and Competencies:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Speak and write English satisfactorily
• At least 1 year of recent and successful experience performing the above functions in a significant manufacturing or warehouse/distribution environment. Prefer that such experience is in the food industry.
• Proficient skills with ERP systems such as Produce Pro, Microsoft Office, and common E Mail systems
• Proficient with shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Valid Class E License

Work Schedule:

• Night Shift: 8:00pm - Finish
• Monday – Sunday (Off one day during the week. Must work one weekend day)

Compensation:

• $20.00/hour

Physical Demands:

• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent twisting and bending
• Work in cold and wet cooler environment for extended periods of time
