Dispatch Supervisor
Get Fresh Produce has been in business since 1982, providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users in the Chicago area. We are currently accepting applications for a Dispatch Supervisor to work at our Bartlett, IL, main location. The Dispatch Supervisor position will provide day-to-day oversight of the Transportation employees at the assigned location and/or region. This role will guide drivers and ensure success by reviewing driver performance, ensuring compliance, and resolving driver and equipment issues, and routing of routes.
Essential Functions:
- Hands-on dispatch supervisor, including driver coaching, evaluations, and training being performed on night shift
- Manage, safety, disciplinary actions, equipment use, support outbound dispatch of routes, Ability to learn routing as contingency planning to the dispatch team
- Support Department of Transportation compliance, including driver fitness and random drug screen programs
- Resolve service opportunities in collaboration with the sales, customer service, warehouse operations, and dispatch operations departments
- Collaborate regularly with dispatch operations personnel, related to business changes, trucks, and other remote market support
- Coordinate with load out planning through produce pro software routing
- Participate in the hiring of drivers, including interviewing, road testing, and onboarding as needed
- Collaborate and excel in working with other functional areas to create efficient and effective processes for servicing customers
- Maintain organized, written employee training, and safety investigation records. In coordination with Get Fresh Produce Human Resources
- Manage daily route sheets to review driver availability and overall equipment usage, weekly hours verification through payroll systems, and performance
- Review routing optimization of each route, to ensure routes are in order and routes are set up for on time customer deliveries
- Assign pick up and backhauls to routes, for the following business day, and review emails from our OPCO’s
- Review OPCO’s of remote markets to ensure the markets are routed for on time delivery
Other Essential Functions:
- Maintain regular and satisfactory full-time attendance
- Perform work outside of normal business hours as required
- Perform special projects as assigned by the Director of Outbound Logistics – Get Fresh Produce, LLC

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, management, business, or a related field preferred
- At least 4+ years of transportation and supervisory experience. Prior distribution or food industry experience a plus
- Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems- Produce Pro, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems
- Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements is a plus
- Speak and write English satisfactorily
Compensation:
- Salary range: $75,000- $80,000 (based on experience)
Schedule:
- 8:00pm - 5:00am (Sunday – Friday with 1day off during the week and Saturdays off)
- Ability to work Holidays
- Ability to work a 6th day as needed based on business needs on occasions
- Bartlett, IL location, this is an in-person position
