Essential Functions:

• Open dock sales area, including opening safe and counting the cash register
• Take customer orders in person or over the phone who want to pick up produce from our facility
• Collect payments and operate the cash register
• Respond to customer inquires
• Research required information using available resources
• Handle and resolve customer complaints
• Provide customers with product and service information
• Identify and escalate priority issues
• Follow up on customer calls where necessary
• Sell additional products by recognizing opportunities to upsell accounts; explaining latest items or featured product
• Perform daily inventory in 1 Cooler utilizing scan guns to ensure accurate product tracking
• Assign and assist with re-pack activities as needed to support operational demands
• Assign and palletize orders for selectors as needed
• Assign dock doors and communicate incoming load details to Receiving to maintain efficient dock operations
• Load trucks, trailers and vehicles with forklift, pallet jack or by hand
• Responsible for pulling assigned customer orders and verifying product dates per customer requirements
• Secure and wrap pallets by hand to ensure product stability during transport
• Report damages, shortages or quality issues to supervisor
• Operate equipment(e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) safely in accordance with company and OSHA standards
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Comply with all applicable OSHA and Food Safety regulations

Competencies, Education, and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 3 years successful related sales experience with an understanding and knowledge of produce food service or retail related products (as assigned)
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office and common E-Mail systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong listening skills
• Influencing and negotiation skills
• Problem solving skills
• Organized and attention-to-detail approach

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (5:00am – 1:00pm)

Compensation:

• $21.00/hour

Physical Demands:

• Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for short periods of time
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
• Stand or sit for long periods of time
