Essential Functions:
- Lead the CAPEX recording and reporting with our new software package.
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to intercompany transactions, fixed assets, general ledger, taxes, and treasury reporting
- Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
- Assist with the development of staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Assist with year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
- Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
- Backfill other accounting roles duties/responsibilities when necessary
- Handle the company's banking transactions and debts payments
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Lead the month end close process
- Prepare tax and other regulatory filings
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Perform customer credit reviews
- Participate in managing banking relationships and bank account maintenance
- Prepare daily liquidity report
Competencies, Education, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of successful experience in public or corporate accounting performing most of the above duties.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and experience with advanced accounting ERP systems and accounting software (e.g. Produce Pro)
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
Compensation:
- $80,000 - $100,000/Year with 10% bonus
Physical Demands:
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
- Travel by auto or by flying commercial or privately as required.
