Maintenance Manager
Get Fresh Produce started in 1982 as a retail produce store in Chicago, specializing in premium fresh fruit, vegetables, specialty foods, and dairy. Essential Functions:
- Ordering and maintaining parts inventory and building equipment as needed
- Food manufacturing machinery upkeep and repair oversight, spin dryers, Urschel Slicers, Trans slicers, Crane System, GEM Water filtration system, Vincent Screw press system
- Assist facility associates with day-to-day tasks as needed
- General Facility Repair and Preventive Maintenance for 2 buildings located across the street from one another
- Landscaping and Snow Removal Services
- Food Safety required paperwork, work orders, documenting all preventive maintenance
- Backflow, elevator, HVAC, Refrigeration inspection services and contract work oversight
- Dock door and leveler systems repair
- Main contact for contractors and system services like fire suppression
- Manage a team of 4 facility maintenance associates, including a processing repair associate and a wastewater associate

- At least 5+ years of facility maintenance experience, 2+ years of management experience. Prior distribution or food industry experience a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Experience performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial building systems
- Experience in managing and maintaining trash disposal systems and water treatment processes
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Proficient PC skills in CRM and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems- Produce Pro, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and common E Mail systems.
- Speak and write English satisfactorily
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift up to 50lbs
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
- Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
Compensation:
- $90,000 - $105,000/Year
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (must be available to work weekends and holidays as required)
- Start time: 6:00am – 8:00am – work is completed
