Founded in 1991, Testa Produce, Inc. is the successor entity to the original Dominick Testa and Sons. The members of the Testa Family own Testa Produce, Inc. with the controlling interest currently held by Peter Testa. Testa Produce's roots date back to 1912, with founder Dominick Testa selling stalks of celery door-to-door out of a basket. The creation of the Chicago Terminal Produce Market provided a central selling location for years. As the restaurant industry evolved, so did Testa Produce. In 2011, Testa expanded yet again and moved into its new home: a 91,300-square-foot facility to accommodate an ever-growing list of restaurant, hotel, and food service customers.

Testa Produce is a wholesale produce and food service distributor serving customers throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple order downloads throughout the night.
  • Track delivery Route creation and route balancing as necessary to ensure timely delivery to customers while maintaining route efficiency
  • Regular maintenance of stop/customer database and standard routes
  • Effective communication with Management, Transportation, Dispatch, and Warehouse via phone, email, and in-person
  • Work assignments to warehouse order selectors 
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

    • Paid via direct deposit paid weekly
    • $26.44 hour

Schedule:

  • Schedule: Must be able to work evenings, nights and weekends
    • Sunday - Friday ( 6 days a week)
  • Shift:  2pm-10pm

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong knowledge of the Chicagoland area (roads, geography, traffic conditions, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Dual language, Spanish-English strongly preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
